System Requirements

RimPy is designed to run on any system capable of running RimWorld. Minimum requirements:

Operating System: Windows 10 or later / Linux (Debian-based distributions recommended) Processor: Any modern dual-core processor Memory: 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended for large mod lists) Storage: At least 500 MB free disk space for RimPy plus additional space for your mod collection RimWorld: Any supported version of RimWorld installed on your system Internet: Required for mod downloading and database updates

How to Install RimPy Step by Step

Getting RimPy up and running is quick and straightforward. Follow these steps:

Step 1 Download: Click the appropriate download link above for your operating system. Save the file to a location you can easily find, such as your Desktop or a dedicated Tools folder.

Step 2 Extract: Extract the downloaded archive using a file extraction tool (such as 7-Zip for Windows or your system’s built-in archive manager on Linux). We recommend extracting to a dedicated folder such as C:\Tools\RimPy on Windows or ~/Applications/RimPy on Linux.

Step 3 Launch RimPy: Open the extracted folder and run the RimPy executable file (RimPy.exe on Windows or the RimPy binary on Linux).

Step 4 Configure Directories: On first launch, RimPy will prompt you to set your directory paths. You will need to provide:

• Your RimWorld game folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld)
• Your RimWorld config folder (e.g., C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config)
• Your Steam Workshop mods folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\294100)

Step 5 Sort Your Mods: Once configured, RimPy will load your installed mods. Click the auto-sort button to automatically arrange your mods in the recommended load order. Review any flagged conflicts and you are ready to play.
